2012: The year of Upgrades

I think this year will be the year of upgrades. I have got plenty of guns I need to upgrade them in several ways. I have been shooting some quality stuff this year. OldNFOs Scopes are so awesome. TBolts Scout scope has super eye relief. I might even restore a few back to pure iron sights, like one of my Mini-14s.

Upgrade List Beginning:

• Suppressors: AR-15, Glock 17, .22LR
• Optics: EOTechs, Quality Scopes
• Slings: For all rifles, shotguns, carbines
• New Safe: Current one is sort of crowded
• Grips: More slim grips
• Stocks: Upgrades for a few select guns
• Range bag: A big one
• Holsters: Quality ones for several guns
• Tools: Cleaning, smithing
• Ammo: Stockpiles
• Mags: Never have enough
• SBR: The Cx4 Storm
• Steel plate targets

Any suggestions to add to the list. I might also start to try my hand at reloading an get myself a press. Might renovate my shop as well. I want to really turn it into a gun smith shop. Plus a new stereo, TV, DVD and a fridge wouldn't hurt!

Upgrades

I have been prioritizing the upgrades in my collection.

First up is a suppressor for my Glock 21.

I have ordered a Glock factory threaded barrel for my Model 21. They make them for most models in their line now.

I have a Glock 17 that may want one as well.

I did not want to order the can until I aired out the new barrel. I require that it remain as reliable as the original barrel.

I am optimistic it will function well because it's a factory made barrel. It will be a tough act to follow. The original barrel has never had a failure.

Other upgrades may include a Short Barrel Rifle stamp followed by a Roni Stock.

Cx4 Upgrades

Without any modifications, my Beretta Cx4 Storm has been excellent. I couldn't help adding some upgrades.

I started with a good two point sling.

Next I added a barrel shroud. It was very easy to install and really works. That barrel gets hot! Damn hot.

The most notable addition is the EOTech 512. The EOTech 512.A65/1 is a Tactical HOLOgraphic weapon sight that actually runs on common AA Batteries. It works great but I wish it had a lower profile so that you could still see the fixed sights through.
