Quiet Riot

Cavalier Rifle and Pistol Club
14151 Boondock Ln.
Montpelier, VA 23192

10-4PM
Saturday, October 22nd 2016

Silencers are the fastest-growing segment of the firearms market, and with their many benefits it’s easy to see why – but you don’t have to take our word for it. Bring the entire family out for a day of fun at one of SilencerCo’s Quiet Riot events and hear for yourself why silencers are in high demand. Open to the general public, these events are centered around educating attendees about the benefits of silencers and dispelling common myths. All guns and ammunition will be provided, with product experts from SilencerCo and local firearm shops on hand to provide instruction and guidance on the purchasing process.

RSVP Here!

Are you wearing orange today?

I guess it's something to do instead of something. Something like admitting what would really help with gun safety.

Teach Kids gun safety in school. How to handle and use them safely.

It's like swimming. Teach them to swim and not drown.

September 11th

Today I will do what I do every year on September 11th.

I will enjoy bacon, bourbon and pretty women in tiny dresses.

I will go to the range and make holes in targets.

Because I am free.

--Be safe out there.

Blunderbuss

MikeW and the Blunderbuss
I unfortunately had to miss the the Flintlock 3-Gun Blogshoot this weekend.

It's really too bad because I have always wanted a Flintlock Blunderbuss.

I have the perfect mantle for a Blunderbuss.

Here is a pic of my friend MikeW about to fire the Blunderbuss.

--I hope this becomes a regular event!

Wounded Warrior Blogshoot

Glock 21 .45ACP with Gemtech Suppressor
It was a beautiful day for the range, made better by supporting a good cause.

Murphy over at Lagniappes Lair (the organizer) should be proud of another excellent event!, Tempestuous Sea, THOTPolice (and Missus), Another Day AnotherOld NFO, Proud Hillbilly, Shekel, MSgtB (and Missus), and a many commentators, like Bubblehead Les, and Stretch, and The Axe, and Morlock, and AZMrMacs. And many more.

I stole the list from TBolt who was also there!

The 340 Defense Range where it was held was really nice and shady  It was just the right size and configuration for the event. It had lanes from 7 yards to 400 yards. Love it.

Lots of great guns there including a couple Uzi's in full auto!

--Fun was had by all!

More NC2

Breda and the Bretta CX4 Storm .40
T-Bolt called my CX4 Storm With it's EOTech sight the "Belle of the Ball" of the Northcoast Blogshoot II, or was he talking about Breda?

There was a 10 inch gong on the range and I loved to ring it with a 2 round per second pace.

Clay pigeons on the berm at 50 yards made for excellent targets. I brought 300 rounds of .40 and they were gone in no time on the first day. I had to make a Walmart run the next day and pick up another 100 rounds!

--Zombies beware! Just wait until it's suppressed!

2011 NRA Annual Meeting! I'm in!

I am going to the 2011 NRA Annual Meeting. It will be the first time for me.

It should be fun!

I will be taking my camera and collecting lots of blog fodder for the weeks that follow.

My initial impression of the website is not so good. It fouled up my registration, flagged me as a non-member. I called the toll free number listed and it was disconnected and gave me the main customer services number for the NRA. They at least knew I was a member and could see that the web site was hosed, but could do nothing.

I will not allow these initial issues to damper my excitement. All I need to know now is who else is going?

--Need to know the carry rules there!
