5 Guns

5 Guns I will never own?  Hmmmm.  Ok, I'll play too.
  1. Full Auto, belt fed, M60
  2. M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle, BAR.
  3. Double Barrel 1911.
  4. Hi Point Carbine in any caliber.
  5. Any Pink Firearm.
--This list is way longer.

Knife Meme

Jumping on the Meme bandwagon:

Take the knife out of your pocket and take a picture of it.  Post it on your blog.

Today I was carrying two. I usually have the Skeletool on me but some days, usually pants related, I carry the SOG as well.

--It's better to have a knife and not need one than to need a knife and NOT have one. (I feel the same about guns)

Honest Gun Owners Meme

My friend Nancy tagged me in the latest gun meme.

"I will write down 5 things that indicate, to me, that a gun owner or shooter maybe is an honest one; I say 'maybe' because I have known some seemingly honest gun owners to tell some really tall tales. Then I will tag 5 other gun owners who are also bloggers and I hope each will play along, each listing, in their blogs, at least 3 things that are indicative a gun owner is an honest one, then sending the challenge of this meme on to 5 other gun owner who are also bloggers."

Here's what I've got:
  1. They never talk about "Big Boy Rules".
  2. They talk about a drawer full of holsters they almost never use.
  3. They talk about some of their guns like tools, some like heirlooms, and some like art.
  4. They will talk about their failures as easily as their triumphs.
  5. They treat waitresses with the same respect as their kids school principle.
Now for my tags:
  • Breda - Yes, that Breda!
  • TBolt - The New Jovian Thundarbolt
  • Laura - Inserting a Witty Meme Here
  • Murphy - Lagniappe is gone now, but his memory lives on.

--This list is about being honest. We need one about being safe and/or competent.

My First Car

So it goes around like wildfire. I will jump on this bandwagon.

My first car was a 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger.

I loved that car. I paid $400 for it. I put another 60,000 miles on it and sold it for $400. The best car deal I ever had. The seats in it were like sofas. Excellent car for teenage making out.

I bought the car from a woman that could not drive anymore because she discovered she had Narcolepsy. The sleep seizure disorder. Very scary thing if it were to happen while driving.

I have often thought I would find and restore one again. It had a straight six motor that only had like six parts.

--Even I could work on that car!
