It's Friday! Random Mostly.

It's been a long week for me at work. Not much to blog about this morning. I will only be going to work for a couple hours today and out at lunch time!

I did buy a Promag Glock vice block this week. I have one for AR15s and find it to be very damn handy. I can clamp it in my vice and hold double stacks.

I also ordered four more mags for my Glock 17. The package came yesterday with four mags for a Glock 19. That little adventure will be blogged about later. Will it be a post about good or bad customer service?  We shall see...

It's 11 degrees out there right now. I moved to Virginia to get away from the cold dammit!  Where is my Global Warming when I need it! They promised me global warming! Oh, sorry. Climate Change.

--I will also be doing my taxes this weekend. I will NEED to go to the range after that.

Bench Vice

Finally got around to setting up the bench vice that my wife got me for Christmas.

I had to wait until my new workbench was set up.

I also have an AR15 mag blank that clamps in there to hold an AR15 securely while being worked.

--It's going to me damn handy!

Christmas Lists

I am starting to plan my gun room starting with what I need on a tool bench. Adding stuff to my Amazon wishlist.

I love putting together ARs and to make that easier a nice vise would be great. Amazon Prime even includes FREE delivery!

I mean a real bench vise. I have a smaller vise that you clamp down to a bench edge but it just doesn't cut it. I have a good tool box with lots of room, drawers and tools.

What else should a dedicated tool bench have?
  • Good lighting
  • Vise blocks for magwells
  • Vise clamps for lowers and uppers
  • One of those lamps with a magnifying glass

--After I get the tool bench set up I will start on a reloading bench!
