Still an AR15

This is a New York compliant AR15.

The core of this machine remains the same. Sheesh.

The President gave another big speech about gun control.

It was a total emotional case because they know the facts do not follow they case.

They want to add everyone on the terror watch list to the no-buy list. No mention was made regarding the desire of some to label all NRA members as terrorists.

The facts are that gun violence and crime in general has been falling for decades. This is happening even though gun sales have skyrocketed. It also does not help their case because areas with concealed carry and the least gun control have very low crime.

--So they beg to think of the children.

This again all day

The Run on .223

I happened into one of my usual stops for a couple mags for my Glock and noticed that the shelves were empty of ALL the .223 ammo. Not just the M855 steel core stuff.

Dammit.

It isn't that I don't already have a few thousand rounds at home. I do. Sheesh. I have over a thousand rounds already in mags.

It's just that I buy 100 rounds every time I shoot 100 rounds. So, like the run on .22LR, a couple things will happen:

Prices for .223 will go way up, dammit.
Availability will be thin
I will shoot it far less
My inventory will shrink

It's a stupid rule anyway. Backdoor gun control. We can't seem to take them away so let's make them less effective. Unless you are a despot. Then it's not so stupid. Can't have your armed citizens able to penetrate your mob control armor or your hunter killer robots!Oh and it's fine for your storm troopers I see...

Nations Gun Show

The Nations Gun Show is this weekend in the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly VA.

I will not be going this weekend because I will be having friends visiting from out of town.

The reason I mention it today is because of recent events in the courts. It might be busy in the future... more busy.

A federal district court in Texas overturned a 1968 gun law prohibiting the sale of handguns to out-of-state residents, granting those who live in Washington, D.C., the ability to travel to an out-of-state gun store, buy a handgun and bring it home without a middleman.

--1968, 1934, 1984, Gun control efforts are all eroding...

The Stupidest Gun Control PSA Ever Made

These assholes cannot win the gun control debate straight up with the facts so they resort to bullshit like this.

So this PSA basically encourages kids to steal their parents firearm and bring it to school, loaded, into a Gun Free Zone, and give to to a teacher. Imagine what would happen to him if other kids were to learn that he had it. What if he was found with it by security?

There are so many crimes here I don't know where to start. Maybe I do. If that was a real firearm used for this and that was a real school and it was actually a Gun Free Zone, the producers and directors of this "PSA" should be hunted down and arrested.

-- If anyone is hurt because of this, or one gun stolen by a child, they should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Trends they don't like

This weekend was the two year anniversary of the Sandy Hook tragedy. Since Newtown, the national trend has actually been toward weaker gun control laws. The places that pasted greater restrictions as a knee jerk reaction have seen crime actually on the rise a bit

Polls even now indicate that protecting gun rights is more important to Americans than gun control. I actually don't care much about polls.

The gun control groups just keep talking and proving their efforts don't work with their own words. They are currently screaming that "95 more school shootings have happened since Sandy Hook". They don't realize that they are actually saying "Gun Free Zone laws totally failed 95 times since Sandy Hook!" If you just take a few seconds and look close at those shootings Most are drug and gang related. This paints them further with the willful ignorance brush.

They keep saying basically that the only way to stop this is to magically disappear ALL the mean scary guns. Or. Maybe... have good guys with guns on site. Which of these do you think is possible?

A few people are actually beginning to think, "Hey, maybe we have a Crazy People Control problem." Then the gun controllers hear this and say, "Anyone that wants to own a gun is mentally ill!"

We protect our President with guns.
We protect our celebrities with guns.
We protect our banks with guns.
We protect our TV stations with guns.
We protect our highways with guns.
We protect Children with a "Gun Free Zone" sign.

--America is waking up to this fact. I already have coffee made.

I normally don't jump into the echo chamber. Many other bloggers will cover this great detail and do a far better job.

This asshat is a Democrat and has been a serious gun control advocate. He even got an A+ rating from The Brady Campaign.

You never know what will turn somebody's opinion about gun registration.

Yesterday I explained the "Jews in the Attic Test" to someone and sent them a link to the post.

It was like a light went on.

Not just gun registration but all government intrusions.

Granted the light that went on was a compact florescent. But it was something. She is talking about it with people now.

Gun Control via Other Means

President Obama's anti-gun, anti-freedom, nominee for Surgeon General, Dr. Vivek Hallegere Murthy, hopefully will go down in flames on the Senate floor, if he ever makes it there. Murthy, calls guns a "healthcare issue," classifying guns as a "public health threat", thinks gun ownership needs to be "treated as a disease" and he hates the National Rifle Association (and the Constitution).

This guy is being opposed not by just Republicans, but numerous Democrats.

--It is after all an election year.

Facebook and Guns

The social network has been under pressure from the Mayors Against Illegal Guns and the Moms Demand Action groups to ban gun-themed fan pages on the site. (no, I won't link to these asshats)

These groups have discovered the best way to limit your Second Amendment Rights is to limit your First Amendment Rights.

These groups do not want you to discuss safety, the fun of shooting, the benefits of protecting yourself, self defense stories or God forbid allow you to legally purchase a firearm.

This would also include activism. Talking about the recent gun bans and confiscation in Venezuela and Ukraine would be included.

--Liberal Fascism is alive and well.

Idiot of the Week: Diana DeGette

Mark Kelly, No AR for YOU!

The Gun Shop has Rescinded the AR-15 sale to Mark Kelly.

I believe that Kelly was actually buying one for himself when he discovered that he was not as anonymous as he thought.

When the cell phone pictures hit the web he said he wasn't buying it for himself, it was to prove a point. He was going to turn it over to someone else.

I call Bullshit on this.

Mostly because I believe it is a violation of the law to do exactly that. Cops would know that. It would have basically been a straw purchase. Was he providing it for operation Fast and Furious? He's a bit late for that.
Combine that with the fact that he now says he was trying to prove how easy it was to buy an AR-15. If that was true he should have wasted his money on a private, cash and carry, purchase.
If he was trying to prove that point he is a total idiot. He picked a gun with a 20 day hold on it. Seriously.
Why was he trying to prove a point that no one on either side of the issue was questioning?
