Killer Robots!

Just remember: .308 is a good round for robots. The small ones anyway..

--Terminators are not so far away...

It's Monday

Running late today but I am taking time to drink some coffee and do some blogging.

We have managed to survive another year without massive attacks from self aware killer robots or progressive politicians.

I have started compiling my personal Year in Review post. Maybe I should also write a post about the things that did NOT happen this year:
  • Zombie Apocalypse
  • Killer Robot Uprising
  • Shrinking Government
Everyone keeps telling me that all these things are pure fiction and I should just stop talking about them.

--I say they all MIGHT happen. Odds are about the same for each...

Computer AI passes Turing test in 'world first'

In the next step toward the Killer Robot Uprising and AI passed the Turing Test!

From Wikipedia: "The Turing test is a test of a machine's ability to exhibit intelligent behaviour equivalent to, or indistinguishable from, that of a human. In the original illustrative example, a human judge engages in natural language conversations with a human and a machine designed to generate performance indistinguishable from that of a human being. All participants are separated from one another. If the judge cannot reliably tell the machine from the human, the machine is said to have passed the test. The test does not check the ability to give the correct answer to questions; it checks how closely the answer resembles typical human answers. The conversation is limited to a text-only channel such as a computer keyboard and screen so that the result is not dependent on the machine's ability to render words into audio.[2]"

--Just remember that the best round for Killer Robots is .308.

Robot Sentries

A friend sent me a pic via email.

I would love to build a remote controlled sentry. Here are the features of this that I like:
  • Foundation is an AR15 pistol flt top
  • 300 round, dual drum beta mag
  • Suppressor
  • EOTech sight
  • Remote camera through the EOTech
  • Powerful LED light
The parts I would have to make:
  • Fire control
  • Targeting control
While researching the legal traps I could even use an Airsoft AR as the foundation.

--I wonder if EOTechs have an always on mode?

This Robot Can Run Faster Than You

One day this might be coming for you. REAL FAST!

--Remember: The best round for killer robots is 7.62mm.

Bushmaster 25mm Cannon

I was just reading about the Bushmaster Chain Gun Cannon. This bad boy comes in 25mm or 30mm.

This thing is crazy.

I find it while surfing the web looking at killer robots. This monster is very versatile and can me used in automated sentries on fixed locations, in ground vehicles, on boats and even aircraft.

Crazy reliable because of simple design. Fed chain gun style. It comes in 25mm or 30mm in a variety of rounds including advanced airburst types.

This thing can automatically target out to 2 miles. Optical, LASER, motion and even manual, remote.

--Not expected to be seen at a gun show anytime soon though!

Robots!

I am in a rush this morning. Have a look at some fun robot videos:

--Remember: The preferred round for the pending Killer Robot Uprising is 7.62...

Mini-Remote Killer Robot

Yet another tool in the chest of our future Killer Robot Overlords.

Available already to SWAT teams this little remote control can of quiet whoop-ass is ready to open.

Say hello to my little friend.

I want one.

--Hunting options alone amaze me! More than just paintball!

Flying Killer Robots

The Pending Killer Robot Apocalypse got a little bit closer recently with the first full size drone launches from an aircraft carrier.

--Fighter pilots will be gone the way of the Calvary Officers before we know it.

Citizen Drones

I made a post last week about Hobby Drones. Since then a friend posted this article on Facebook. When it is this easy to make one in the garage, imagine what an advanced team with a huge budget could come up with!

--Soon it will be drone control debates.

EMP Love

Directed energy weapons test of the CHAMP System was a complete success:

The SWAT Bot

The SWAT Bot
It's almost hunting season again in Virginia.

I am feeling really old, so I was thinking that this year it would be totally awesome if I could go hunting and never leave the comfort of my E Z Boy recliner!

TBolt and I did a lot of scouting this weekend in prep for the season. We found a few good spots for stands and blinds. We also got completely eaten up by chiggers.

I would refit this baby with my Saiga 12 gauge shotgun!

Camouflaged nicely this baby is perfect for hunting!

--I would if these can be found on Amazon.com!

How to Survive a Robot Uprising

Good advice. But the bigger the guns the better.

--It's good to see people starting to wake up!!

I Want One!

The first Quad-Rotor armed attack remote is now being demo'd.

--When will the Civilian Version be available!?

Creepy Robots are Creepy

After watching this video I realized that I have to spend way more time skeet shooting.

Killer robots are starting to look very Cyberdyne.

--I wonder what the air time is on these.

Scientists on the Killer Robot Uprising

"A ROBOT that makes a morning cuppa, a fridge that orders the weekly shop, a car that parks itself.  Advances in artificial intelligence promise many benefits, but scientists are privately so worried they may be creating machines which end up outsmarting — and perhaps even endangering — humans that they held a secret meeting to discuss limiting their research.

At the conference, held behind closed doors in Monterey Bay, California, leading researchers warned that mankind might lose control over computer-based systems that carry out a growing share of society’s workload, from waging war to chatting on the phone, and have already reached a level of indestructibility comparable with a cockroach.

“These are powerful technologies that could be used in good ways or scary ways,” warned Eric Horvitz, principal researcher at Microsoft who organised the conference on behalf of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence."

Killer Robots in the News

You guys think I am crazy when I start talking about the Killer Robot Uprising. I keep showing you evidence! Don't you watch Jeopardy!?

Now more Autonomous Killer Robot Sentries!!

--Remember: .308 or heavier for Killer Robots!!
