Want: Iver Johnson M1 Carbine Pistol

Once again with the short firearms! What's up with that?

This beauty is an Iver Johnson M1 Carbine Pistol in .30 cal. I think it is real pretty and would be a lot of fun to shoot. It is classified as a pistol so there is no need to pay for the SBR tax stamp.

I remember back in the early to mid 90's, you could see one or three of those at each gunshow you went to. Then they just disappeared... kind of like the Spanish Destroyer Carbines.

It's marketed as the "Enforcer" and they are out there. I even saw one a few years ago that was Class III. Owner shot tracer exclusively and it was like something out of Star Wars.

If you wanted, however, there are NEW, virgin receivers made to USGI specs available these days. Check Shotgun News -- I'm pretty sure it's James River Armory off the top of my head.

Make your own, and make it 100% USGI compatible!

There's a couple of them floating around my neck of the woods. Also, there was the Universal "Enforcer" version made also. I'll see what they're asking for them when I go to the next Gun Show in December.
