Go Read The Declaration of Independence, not just the preamble.

"When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the laws of nature and of nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."

It would serve our leaders very well to read this document carefully. It contains a list of grievances against The Kings rule to which they should pay close attention.

I have it on my cell phone. It goes with me everywhere and is very handy in solving a little dispute with a lib. I recommend everyone download it to whatever their reading application might be. It is public domain and free, but one of the most invaluable documents you can read.

Most of our leaders don’t want to read it. That antique document only interferes with their modern ideas on how to “improve” our nation.
