Hidden Storage

A friendly reader sent me a photo of a cool gun storage idea.

This got me thinking that it might be a good idea to have some guns stashed about in handy, but secure places.

There would be several good reasons to do this:

1) They are more easily at hand in case of an emergency.

2) Burglars would have a greater challenge. Plus they could activate a secondary security system.

3) I love hidden rooms and compartments!

Using the simple idea as depicted, creating a simple drawer could be done in many locations. It's height need only be two inches to contain most firearms. This kind of compartment could be integrated into furniture, counter cabinets, bars, shelves and even walls with the right location.

--I will have to look at this idea more closly. Might be a project!

There is a lock on that drawer if you look close. My kids are grown up. There are no dumbass regs to stop me from stashing loaded guns everywhere.

I think this is a great idea. Mostly because at home I don't have a gun on me all the time. Be honest with yourself. I wear a robe often in the mornings on weekends or bathing suits for the pool or hot tub.

Love it.

I would put the same child safety device on there that I use to keep kids away from my drain cleaners. Fast and easy to get by even in the dark.

I like that idea a whole lot better than a huge safe that screams steal me.

Home invaders like to corral their victims into internal bathrooms. That way, one bad guy can watch the door while other bad guys go through stuff.

These are good bathrooms to tape a hidden revolver in a ziploc bag.
