Here is another example on how to create hidden storage that can also be very handy when you need it. Wandering through a home decor store I saw several pieces of art that would work great for this.

I had a childhood where I had to invent clever hiding places for my stuff, and the habit staid. Where I live now it's impossible to build anything but one day I plan to build a tokonoma, japanese style alcove with hollow bottom for guns. Well, that was my first idea anyway but actually anything can work as a hiding place...
