I have a new Remington 700 that I purchased just this rear and it has now been recalled. There are more details here.
It turns out there is a trigger problem that will cause the gun to fire without the trigger being actually pulled. Here is a video of it actually happening on one guys rifle:
--I wonder how long it will take to sort this out?

Is it a recall or a "recall"?
This is old and does not effect all 700's. It only is if the safty is on when you close the bolt. Big lawsuit over this years ago. Only with stock trigger.
The expert witness on this checked my 700 and no problem
