One law for us, another for you...

"The California state Senate voted 28-8 Wednesday to exempt itself from the pointless gun-control laws that apply to the rest of the populace. Legislators apparently think they alone are worthy to pack heat on the streets for personal protection, and the masses ought to wait until the police arrive."

"This is just one of many bills Golden State politicians used this legislative session to set themselves apart from the little people..."

--I am getting to the point that I can't read the news anymore. So bad for my blood pressure...

Schools are closed again

Less than an inch of snow this morning and all the schools are closed in the city and county.

I wish I could stay home and clean guns.

I really need to drag te guns out of the safe that I never shoot and give them a good clean and lube. There are some in there that I have actually never shot. Or shot maybe once.

Virginia to Vote on Bill to Allow Sunday Hunting

The Virginia House of Delegates is expected to vote on a bill that would reverse the state’s current ban on hunting on Sundays, allowing the sport on private property and public waters throughout the state – with a few exceptions – as early as this week.

With my back on the mend it would be all kinds of awesome to increase the number of days I could sit and nap in the woods!

--Sundays closer to nature!

VA is the 4th safest. DC is the 51st. That is actually the WORST!

--I was surprised by some of these.

Rhino Arms: 12 Gauge

This one I find interesting: Rhino Arms 12 Gauge AR

All you have to do is swap out the upper on this Rhino AR10 and toss in a new mag and you have yourself a 12 Gauge AR Shotgun.

I have a Saiga 12 gauge now and I love it. But this rig would allow me to quickly swap out the upper on a .308 AR10 and suddenly I have an AR12. The AR10 takes standard DPMS mags and has five and ten round mags available for 12ga.

Can drums be far behind!

--That is a pile of Rock and Roll right there! Can't wait to find the price!

Cabin Off the Grid

Every now and then I get the itch to have a cabin in the woods somewhere. Here is one that I saw this morning with process and parts list for building.

I would add a hidden sub-floor gun safe.

--I like the tiny house movement.

Zombie Apocalyse Vehicle

Add a few gun ports and this Bug Out Vehicle will be ready for the apocalyse.

It looks like it has plenty of clearance to plow it's way through hoards of the un-dead.

I love it that people in the world have such awesome hobbies!

--I wonder what kind of milage it gets!

Easy Readiness from Costco

As the snow falls outside I was thinking about my pantry. It's fully stocked as usual. When these mini weather events happen and it cripples the region and clears milk, bread, TP and water form the shelves it always gets me thinking.

It's going to snow

It is an odd morning.

All the schools are closed, as well as the Federal Government. Even Frostbite University is closed. Why is this odd?

It's currently 39F and no snowing yet.

--Wish me luck, I'm going in!

Martin Luther King

I hope everyone has a good day.

I have the day off as a holiday.

It is worthy of remembering that Martin Luther King was a gun owner that knew that the police not only could not respond fast enough but might not be inclined to do so quickly because of their own personal political beliefs.

He knew he was responsible for his own safety. Even after his home was bombed, he was denied a concealed carry permit.

--Remember MLK. I am glad he was not a Saint.
