Gun Murders Down 49% Since 1993

The media wants you to think that gun murder is on the rise,worse than ever.

The reality is that gun ownership has skyrocketed since 1993. Concealed carry laws has swept the country.

The detailed study published by the Pew Research Center shows that contrary to popular belief, America is no longer the Wild West. Since 1993, gun homicides have decreased by 49%, and general violent crime has dipped by an incredible 75%.

North Dakota Becomes First State to Approve Armed Drones for Police

We called it here long ago.

The image shown in the article is not an armed drone. It's a cute little surveillance drone. Short range and mostly harmless to anything but privacy.

The armed drones are big. Their guns are big. They are fast and have a long range. They can stay aloft for hours.

It will not be long before they are 100% pilot free. Even remote.

Riots? What Riots?

Have you noticed how the country has reacted to these race on race murders?

Have you seen all the rioting white people?

Me neither.

So this racist asswipe was a gay, democrat and an Obama voter. He doesn't fit the narrative. But you know what? None of that matters.

We don't have a gun problem.
We have a crazy person problem.
We have a lack of respect for human life problem.
We have a political agenda problem.
We have a bread and circuses problem.
We have an education problem.

--Remember, gun control is always racist, classist and more about control than guns.

Shooting

There was another double murder that is going to fuel gun control advocates.

Two people being murdered with a gun is just another Saturday in DC. But these murders will get a lot of coverage because it was members of the media shot live on TV.

The media and even the President are focusing on the gun once again, and not the man. The motivation of the killer is being ignored in favor of blaming the tools. It appears he acquired the firearm legally. Background check and all. The gun was not fancy in anyway. Not a dreaded "assault rifle". Where can the gun grabbers go with it beyond dancing in the blood of the victims. They can't even call it a mass shooting.

My heart goes out to their families and friends.

-What made the man? Ask that question.

New Shooter Sunday

This weekend I took my dear friend Shea to the range for her first time!

I met her at my science fiction writers group and became fast friends. We went to Elite Shooting Sports in Manassas VA.

ESS has excellent facilities for shooters in wheel chairs so when Shea rolled in with her fancy motorized machine they were very welcoming. We had her registered, range card obtained, and the safety briefing done in no time.

I gave her the Four Rules speech in addition to the safety video. We bought targets, put on our eyes and ears and were off!

I brought a couple rifles and a couple handguns. She liked my Savage Mark II bolt action .22LR the best.

US Soldiers on vacation stop a radical Muslim from mass murdering people.

Yet another asshole decided that he was going to kill a lot of people on a high speed train. He knew it was a gun free zone, so when he emerged from the bathroom and started shooting he didn't expect resistance. Boy was her wrong.

Handicapped Shooters

This weekend I am taking yet another first time shooter to the range.

The difference is this friend is wheelchair bound. She is very excited about the adventure.

I will be taking her to Elite Shooting Sports range in Manassas VA. Their facility is specially designed to serve shooters in wheelchairs. Smooth rolling and extra-wide special lanes for shooters that need it.

I will give a range report next week!
