Back from Vacation

Normal operations will resume today. I may go to the range tonight to shoot the new Glock 26.

Vacation Day 1

I am hitting the road in a dew minutes.

My brother is house sitting and hopefully keeping the cats alive. No big hardship for him there.

Shooting Deaths of Cops

Shooting deaths of on duty police officers is up 78% this year.

Most of the cop killers are are Muslims or Democrats or both... 

Nice.

Over the past decade, the number of officers fatally shot has averaged 52 a year. Firearms-related deaths reached their lowest point since the 1880s in 2013, when 33 officers were fatally shot, according to data from the officers memorial fund.

Wikileaks exposed corruption in the DNC. The Chair was forced to resign, not because she was corrupt, but because she was caught. She was then immediately hired as Hillary's campaign Chair. Hillary does not even try to hide her corruption any more.

New Holster

I have been carrying my new Glock 26 in the same holster I use for my Glock 17.

Today I picked up a new Galco IWB that I will be using the next couple weeks.

One thing I noticed right off is that while it's easy to draw from this holster, re-holstering quickly is difficult.

This actually does not matter much to me because I never draw my gun out in the world.

--Needs a little sweat to break it in. It's going to be 100 degrees tomorrow.

Heat

This weekend is going to be VERY HOT. 100 degrees and awful humidity.

I am going to stay inside or the pool at very least.

It is always more difficult to conceal carry when it's hot. I have a fanny-pack dork dad looking rig that is my usual solution.

--That's right, a fanny pack. Don't judge.

My New Daily Carry

Glock 26

I had been shopping around for a new daily carry and finally settled on the Glock 26.

I walked into my favorite shop yesterday and the had the exact model I was looking for.

I love Virginia. I was in and out in 15 minutes. Easy as could be.

I will be getting some of the specialty magazines that give you an extra finger worth a grip.

I also like that it will that the same mags as my Glock 17, even the 33 round versions. Because, you know... Zombies.

--Now to find a nice threaded barrel.

I have been coming up dry with blog fodder of late. I have not gone to the range either in a month. I thing I can solve both of these issues at once.

The Republican Nation Convention has begun. The biggest thing they are talking about is the speech of Trumps wife.

I am looking for a new daily carry and I think It will be a Glock 26. Getting all the way into the Glock bed for my utility guns.
