South Korean K-11 |
I have been looking for a combination rifle/shotgun rig that could kick ass and take names.
Requirements are as follows:
- Uses AR lower and mags.
- Same trigger can fire either via switch.
- 12 gauge upper.
- Mag fed 12 gauge.
- Picitinny top and bottom.
This is the solution to several other variations I have seen that position the shotgun below and in the front. This architecture solved several design issues. Do it right and it would not weigh a ton. The photo is of a new system designed in South Korea. Reviews of the thing are not good and even if they were, we would be hard pressed to get one here in the USA.
--This design has potential! You want one. You know you do...
Have you been reading about the problems they have with it?
ReplyDeleteyeah yeah, raining on your parade. Maybe it's teething issues, maybe it's a crap design. Dunno. Check it out.
ReplyDeleteHey the original Hyundais were as good as Yugos...
ReplyDeleteYes I read that the K-11 itself had many problems. It is the overall design layout that I like.
ReplyDeleteWe need Kel-Tec to pick up that architecture and run with it! Or Someone else! Anyone!?
It's two guns of a three gun system!
ReplyDeleteIt's got a whole NEW set of problems...
ReplyDeleteWell, it's kinda like establishing a No-Fly Zone using a Wright Flyer. The principle's of Flight are there, but the execution of it...But yeah, someone should be re-engineering it, but in 7.62 Nato. Since it is designed to handle 12 guage, shouldn't be a problem.
