Shop Clearing

Tonight I start to clean up my shop in preparation for renovations.

As part of this renovation I will be getting a new gun safe. The thing is I really want a single large safe. It may not be realistic because of size and access. I am considerating putting the safe I want in there before the new walls go up. But that will mean when I sell the house it will have to convey.

Got a lot of research to do.

--Anyone have recommendations for brands of safes?

go local. shipping on these kind of things is crazy. the nations gun show has a big selection usually.

I'd look at making a small 'room' and securing it with a safe door...

You need to consider the fire rating on the safe as well as the security it provides. Cheap safes are easy to come by, but the ones with serious locks and fire ratings are not nor are they off-the-shelf items. I ended up going with a Liberty safe from Baldinos because it was the only good safe available without a long waiting list.
